What Is A Lutheran?

Lutherans are Christians who celebrate being saved by grace through faith in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. We worship through great hymns and songs, Holy Communion (open to all believers) and confessing our belief in a gracious and loving Triune God. For more information on the Lutheran faith, click here to visit the ELCA’s website.

Can I Take Communion?

Christians are welcome to participate in Holy Communion.  In Holy Communion, we recall the saving acts of God through Word, bread and wine, and are connected with Christ and with Christians of all times and places. In this sacrament, we are fed with the Body and Blood of Christ.

Please note:  Cups on the inner ring of the trays are filled with white grape juice; cups on the outer rings are filled with red wine. Gluten-free wafers are available in the narthex (traditional worship) and at both entrances to Centennial Hall (Rejoice contemporary worship). All are welcome to participate in Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church.

What Is Trinity’s Inclement Weather Policy?

When the Forest Hills Public Schools close during the day, all Trinity daytime activities are cancelled and the church offices are closed. After 3 pm and on weekends, check WOOD TV8 or WZZM TV13 about the status of our evening or weekend activities.
