The Friday morning Women’s Bible Study will be studying The 23rd Psalm The Lord, Our Shepherd by Juanita Ryan. The study will meet from 9:30-11 a.m. in the 5th grade classroom every Friday EXCEPT for the 2nd Friday of the month.
Psalm 23 pictures life as deeply secure and richly blessed. It offers us a panorama of what life can be like when lived with awareness of God’s intimate love for us. This picture of life lived in God’s care touches our deepest longings and speaks directly to our darkest fears. Perhaps that is why we return to this Psalm over and over again. It is possible, however, that our frequent exposure may actually result in our becoming too familiar with this jewel. This Bible study will help us to look more deeply at this Psalm (InterVarsity Press 2021).
