Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup

September 10, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

19th Annual Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup

Once again, Trinity Lutheran Church will be participating in the Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup, on Saturday, September 10. We are encouraging church members, families and friends, young and old, to help in this important environmental cause, as we join others in our community to clean up around the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. The event is sponsored by WMEAC (West Michigan Environmental Action Committee).

The Grand River is a vital part of the West Michigan community. It only takes a short time for trash on our streets and around storm drains to find its way to the Grand River. Pollution in rivers negatively impacts plants, wildlife, drinking water quality, scenic beauty, and recreational value. The waste that is removed at the Annual Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup is a small act that has a grand impact on our community, and volunteers make this difference possible.
