Celebration of Music concert of Duo Piano Music – Wilkie and Hurd Piano Duo
Mary J. Hurd
Associate Professor of Music, Aquinas College
Ms. Hurd has been active both as a soloist and accompanist. She
has a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy
from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano
Performance from the American Conservatory of Music, and a
Diploma in Church Music, specializing in Piano Performance, from
Moody Bible Institute.
Since 1972 Ms Hurd has taught piano across the entire age
spectrum. In addition, she has taught course work at Grand Valley
University, Grace Bible College, Grand Rapids School of Bible and
Music. She joined the staff of the music department at Aquinas
College in 1994, and has taught many classroom subjects in
addition to piano.
Todd Wilkie
Pianist
Since graduating from Aquinas College in 2008 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in music with an emphasis in piano, Todd WIlkie
has been active as an accompanist for Aquinas College music
ensembles, East Grand Rapids High School, King’s Choraliers,
and the West Michigan Opera Project.
