Adult Ministry

Health Ministries at Trinity seek to share God’s gifts of love and grace to promote spiritual, physical and emotional well-being.

  • Visitation Ministry is available for the hospitalized, sick, homebound or anyone in need. Please let one of our pastors, Kristin, or the church office know if you or a loved one would like a caring visit.

  • Trinity In Touch provides homebound communion and communications with any member unable to join our congregation in worship. If you are interested in receiving or providing connections in these ways, contact Kristin Bradley.

  • Providing distinctively Christian, one‑to‑one care, and support to those who are experiencing challenging circumstances. These times include but are not limited to death of a family member or close friend, personal or family illness, mental health stressors. financial hardship, or other major life events.

  • Flu Shots are offered one Sunday morning in the fall. This clinic is facilitated by Spectrum Health Visiting Nurses.

  • CPR classes are held in spring and fall and are facilitated by James Morin, our Red Cross Certified Instructor. This training is provided for ushers, nursery workers and staff members at no cost and at the discounted rate of $40 a person for others who are interested.

  • Trinity partners with Versiti Blood to host blood drives three to four times annually. 2022 Blood Drive dates are: March 7, June 20, Sept 19, and December 5. Please contact Kristin Bradley to schedule an appointment and/or learn about other ways to help.

  • a small group ministry within the ELCA Grand Rapids Conference that provides safe space for parents of LGBTQIA+ children of any age and any stage of life. Request more information by emailing Ahava here.

  • Blood Pressure measurement is currently being offered by our Faith Community Nurse when requested.

  • The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI – Kent County) hosts “Family to Family” sessions at Trinity. “Family to Family” is a free, eight session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions.

  • Monthly speaker meetings are held at Trinity on first Fridays of the month. Contact Tom Vandragt. For more information, visit the Grand Rapids Al Anon Family Groups (local chapter) or Al Anon Family Groups (national organization and resources).

  • “Surviving the Holidays” is a seminar on a Saturday morning in November to share support and strategies for making it through the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas after losing a loved one. Contact Kristin Bradley for more information.

  • a facilitated group that meets for 13 weeks and seeks to walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. Contact Kristin Bradley for more information.
